Mary Margaret Colly of McKinney, Texas, passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 60. She was born on October 21, 1965, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, to Samuel Colly and June Helms.
Mary grew up in Havelock, North Carolina, and graduated from Havelock High School in 1984. She later made her home in Texas, where she built a fulfilling career as an office manager with S.P. Richards in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, dedicating over 20 years of service marked by professionalism, loyalty, and friendship.
On May 6, 2004, Mary married the love of her life, Joven Cavas, in McKinney, Texas. She was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy came from supporting her family. Mary especially loved attending her children's sporting events-always their biggest fan and constant source of encouragement.
Mary is survived by her husband, Joven Cavas of McKinney, Texas; her son, Landon Pryor of Villa Rica, Georgia; granddaughter, Marlow Pryor of Villa Rica, Georgia; sons, Joshua Cavas and Matthew Cavas, both of McKinney, Texas; and her sister, Tina Colly and husband, Michael Dalby of Clayton, North Carolina; as well as Lola & Papa John, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers in-law, and her extended family in Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emily Pryor; grandson, Owen Fogarty; and two brothers, Samuel Colly and Joseph Colly.
Mary will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, and the deep love she held for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
