Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Crary, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Serenity Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital surrounded by loving family. Born in Trenton, and a lifelong resident of Hamilton, Mary Lou was a loving, dedicated, and loyal wife, mother, and friend.
Mary Lou worked over 30 years as a bus driver for the Hamilton Township Board of Education. She was well known for her love of bowling, fishing, and long road trips, often packing the kids in the family car for a trip to Florida. Mary Lou would often join her beloved late husband at the race track racing stock cars, a passion they shared together. After her retirement, Mary Lou was an active member of the Hamilton Township Senior Center. She was a strong and caring mother, known to her children for her tough love, yet willingness to support them in whatever was needed.
In addition to her parents Vincent and Ruth Robbins, Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Walter L Crary Jr., her son-in-law Joe DeMonte, and grandson Vincent A. Crary, Jr. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Mary DeMonte of Hamilton, Linda and Glenn Dobron Sr. of Hamilton, Barbara and Shaun Connell Sr. of Hamilton, Vincent and Tracy Crary Sr. of Hamilton and Walter L. Crary III, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, sisters Veronica, Ruth, Ellen, and many special friends.
