Mary D'ARRIGO Obituary

D'ARRIGO, Mary Theresa (Cataldo) Of Belmont and Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Lexington, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, August13th, in Boca Raton, FL. She joins her husband of 66 years, Peter Andrew (2020), in eternal life.

Born in 1933, Mary grew up in a farming family in Lexington, the youngest, and only girl with five older brothers. After attending St. Mary's High School in Waltham, she went on to graduate from Regis College. While at Regis, and through the farming connection, she met the love of her life, Peter, and they were married shortly after graduating in 1954.

Life immediately got busy with four kids in five years. Once the foundation was set for her children, Mary embarked on a very successful real estate career that spanned more than 25 years. She was a wealth of knowledge, had the system beat at Filene's Basement on Monday mornings, was an expert "Party Planner" long before the term ever existed, but most of all, she was a loving and nurturing mother. Mary loved to golf and socialize at the Nashawtuc Country Club, where she was a member for over 60 years, as well as The Via Mizner Club in Boca Raton, FL, where she spent most of her golden years.

Mary was predeceased by her father and mother, Ciriaco and Mary (Tribuna) Cataldo; as well as her five older brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Ralph, Edward and Robert Cataldo. She leaves behind her four children, Peter D'Arrigo, Jr.(Pam) of Lexington, Christine D'Arrigo of Delray Beach, FL, Stephen D'Arrigo of Andover, and David D'Arrigo (Kathy) of Concord; seven grandchildren, Lauren Hicks (Kyle), Justin, Jake, Sam (Haley), and Jillian D'Arrigo, and Connor and Riley O'Callaghan; and four great-grandchildren, Ava, Andrew, Parker and Romi.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 24th, at 10AM, from Sacred Heart Church on 16 Follen Road, Lexington, MA. Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend. (Please go directly to church.) Visiting Hours have been omitted, Interment will take place immediately following the Church Service at Westview Cemetery, Lexington, MA.
