Mary Anne Daily, age 84, passed away peacefully at home in Arthur surrounded by her family on Thursday morning March 20, 2025. She was the daughter of Ralph G. Neff and Bonnie M. (Warfield) Neff of Cerro Gordo, IL.
Mary Anne spent most of her life dedicated to her family and faith, serving as the church secretary at the Arthur United Methodist Church for over 20 years. She was involved in many church committees, sang in the church choir and served the youth program.
Mary Anne was a great cook and prepared many family meals. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting others before herself. Mary Anne enjoyed keeping an orderly home and spending time with her loved ones.
Mary Anne's accomplishments included raising a beautiful family and keeping her faith strong throughout her life. She was an active member of the Arthur Evening Women's Club for many years. As a dedicated member of the community, she sponsored 4-H events when her children were young and later cheered on her grandchildren attending their extracurricular activities.
A celebration of life with no formal service will be held in Mary Anne's honor at the Arthur United Methodist Church on Monday, March 24th between 10 am and noon. The family will receive guests any time during those hours.
She married Ronald D. Daily in Cerro Gordo, IL on October 12, 1957. He survives, and they would have celebrated their 68th marriage anniversary this October. Surviving children are Brenda (Ken) Munds, Scott (Kim) Daily and Craig Daily. Her brother James R. (Cindy) Neff and sister Elizabeth K. (Jerry) VanDyke also survive. She has 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Rhonda Anne (Daily) Morris.
Memorials are suggested to the Arthur United Methodist Church in her memory.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Transitions Hospice of Marshall, IL for their compassionate support.
