Mary Shannon Dameron

Mary Shannon C. Dameron, a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully at her
home in Prosperity, SC on Wednesday, January 15th 2025. She was 50 years old.
Mary Shannon was born August, 14 1974 in Lexington, SC the daughter of Freddie L. Cain and
Janette Fulmer Cain.
Mary Shannon graduated from Airport Highschool in 1992, then went on to University of South
Carolina, earning a degree in Bachelors of Science.
Mary Shannon worked as a Corporate Credit Analysis at Dominion Energy for 32 years.
She married Chris Dameron on December 31, 1996 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They were
married for 28 years. Twenty eight years full of love and making beautiful memories with family and
friends
Mary Shannon had the heart of a servant as she served her community, as well as, animal rescue.
She served with Junior Women's Club for ten years as fundraising co-chair, Requirements chair and
as the Parliamentarian. All of the fundraising efforts were to support Palmetto Place Children's
shelter. She was, also, involved with cat and animal rescue throughout her life. Fostering many cats
and giving them new homes. She worked closely with Percy's Angelic Cat Rescue.
Remaining to cherish Mary Shannon's memory are Chris Dameron, Cameron Cain (Jessica Cain),
Keith (Donna) and many nieces and nephews. Along with many dear friends and family.
Preceding in death are Fred L. Cain and Janette Fulmer Cain.
Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
