Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Davenport

Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Davenport, 71 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday July 31, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Beth was the daughter of the late Alton M. "Pete" Davenport and Annie Lois Tanner Davenport. She was retired from the Hall County School System where she taught for over 26 years at Chicopee Elementary School. Beth was a graduate of South Hall High School Class of 1971, she also graduated from the University of Georgia. Beth loved to watch and attend UGA football games. She was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Mickey Montgomery, Dahlonega, niece and husband, Kim and Rob Gonzalez, El Paso, Texas. A number of cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday August 6 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery.
