Mary Evelyn Davis left this world on December 21, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 18, 1924, in Tahona, Oklahoma to Thomas Nichols Davis and Fidella Holland Davis.
Mary was a graduate of Central High School in Oklahoma City and the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting. She received her CPA certification and went on to work at Hales Mullally, Liberty National Bank, and Ruth Meyers.
She Started life in the Congregational Church, later moved to the Methodist Church and late in life joined Portland Avenue Baptist Church.
While she was also of English and Irish decent, Mary was most proud of her Welch decent.
Mary’s interests included going to plays, dancing, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, and following the stock exchange. She was a huge animal lover; she never saw a dog or cat she didn’t want to keep.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brother Thomas Holland Davis. She leaves behind her friends, family, and pets.
The Family would like to extend special thanks to the wonderful caregivers for the last six years, Glenda Gail Currin, Paula Simmons, Kam Hamilton, and Brandi Harris.
