Mary Virginia DeBerry, 86, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Mon General Medical Center in Morgantown, WV, with family by her side.
She was born on January 12, 1939, in Preston County, WV, a daughter of the late Henry Leonard Barlow and Helen (Hovatter) Barlow.
Mary faithfully attended St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Kingwood. She volunteered at the Preston County Nursing Homes, always bringing her best fur-friend, Buttercup, dressed in different outfits to visit residents. Mary loved cooking and baking; her apple dumplings were truly the best. She was a sweet and sassy lady who brought joy into everyone's lives. Mary will be missed by the multitude of people who love her.
She is survived by three sons, Randy Bohon of Tallmadge, OH, Mike Bohon of Arthurdale, and Roger Bohon of Kingwood; one daughter, Donna Bohon of Kingwood; five siblings, Peggy Zeigler, Carolyn Williams, Doris Voytek, Rex Barlow, and Charles Barlow; six grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by, one son, Howard Bohon, two brothers, Larry Barlow and Jim Barlow, sister, Dorothy Williams, and her fur baby, Buttercup.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 10:00am until the 1:00pm liturgy outside of mass with Father Dominic Athishu as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
