In Loving Memory of Mary Agnes DeVaux
October 14, 1931 – January 10, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Agnes DeVaux, who departed this world on January 10, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on October 14, 1931, in Mobile, AL, the beloved daughter of Charles Edward Sr and Mary Jenette Hoffman.
Mary Agnes DeVaux touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. She was a devoted mother, dedicating her life to her family and friends. Mary Agnes DeVaux worked for years in Mobile, AL for the GMNO Railroad before moving to Fort Walton Beach where she worked for over 20 years at Silver Dunes before retiring.
Family was at the center of Mary DeVaux's world. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis DeVaux, sons, Steven and Thomas DeVaux, parents Charles Edward Sr and Mary Jenette Hoffman, sister Margaret Hoffman and brother Charles Edward Hoffman Jr.
She is survived by her 4 sons, David (Barbara), Billy (Kathy), Larry (Susan), Chris (Angie), and daughter Cindy Papantonis (Paul); 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A funeral service to celebrate Mary Agnes DeVaux's life will be held on January 13, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church. The visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by mass.
A reception will follow starting at 1:00PM at The Island Resort on Okaloosa Island.
Mary Agnes DeVaux will be remembered for the love she spread, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
