Mary Ellen Diehl nee Jeffers, 65, of Havertown, PA passed away on October 16th, 2024.
Born on July 20th, 1959, Mary Ellen was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen (nee Neary) and Hugh Jeffers.
Mary Ellen was the beloved wife to husband Dave, of 42 years, and devoted mother of Mary Ellen Creighton (Tom), Kristen Whalen (Mike), David Diehl (Mairin), and Brittany Moran (Matt). Adoring “Grandmom” of Finnegan, Riley, McKenna, Julia, Michaela, James, Shane, and Madelyn. Loving sister to Therese Jones (Sam), Hugh Jeffers (Stephanie), and Elaine Geraghty (Sean), predeceased by her sister Anne Kullman (Dennis). Mary Ellen is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Affectionately known as “Mare,” she was raised in Springfield, PA, attended high school at Cardinal O’Hara and went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s University.
To know Mare was to love her, she enjoyed summers in Margate, NJ, and beach days with her Jeffers family. She loved trips to Home Goods and dinners out with her lifelong girlfriends. She was the ultimate decorator and made her welcoming home look beautiful for every holiday.
Mary Ellen was kind, generous to a fault, caring, and compassionate. She loved her husband and children dearly. She was selfless with her time and more than willing to help in any way with her children and grandchildren. She was a fighter until the end. Mary Ellen was a beautiful person and will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
