Mary Ellen Ellen Simons

Mary Ellen Simons, age 74, passed away September 19, 2025, at Regions Hospital, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Mary Ellen as was her preferred salutation, was born June 14, 1951 in Caledonia, Minnesota, to Francis and Norma (Westman) Simons. She graduated from Caledonia High School in 1969.

She received a bachelor's degree from Winona State College in 1973. Mary Ellen had a varied series of work experiences from the St. Paul Police Department, University of Minnesota, Watkins Company, Hal Leonard Company - music publisher, and later in life was a caregiver in Boulder, CO and later in Sequim, WA. She would spend the last twenty years of her life living in the Neill Hi-Rise in Saint Paul, MN. 

Mary Ellen was a part-time sports enthusiast, particularly rooting for select local teams (Vikings, Twins, and Gophers). She and her brother, Carl did an abbreviated "Spring Training" visitation many years ago.

Mary Ellen is survived by her brothers: Michael of Sparks, NV and Carl of Everett, WA. 
She was preceded in death by her parents: Francis (1905-1979) and Norma (1915-1992), and sister Joan (1961-1967).
