Mary Foix, 78, of Oregon City, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025.
She was born on January 28, 1947, in Carthage, North Carolina, to Colin Spencer Jr. and Leah Spencer.
Mary graduated from Union Pines High School in 1965 and went on to devote her life to caring for others. She began her career as a Home Health Care Worker, serving with compassion and dedication for many years and touching countless lives through her work.
Mary married the love of her life, Anthony Foix, on June 22, 1968 in Carthage, NC. After their wedding, they relocated to Oregon, where they built a life together and shared 52 wonderful years. They raised three daughters: Cynthia Grubb, Sherri Jones, and Dixie Kraft-all of Oregon City.
Mary was best known for her deep love of family and friends, her generous heart, and her unwavering faith. She found joy in singing with her church, living a peaceful life on the farm, and dedicating herself to the well-being of others. Her passion for caregiving extended far beyond her career-it was her calling. She lived a life that asked for nothing and gave everything.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Grubb, Sherri Jones, and Dixie Kraft; her son-in-law, David Kraft; her grandchildren: William Foix-Jones, Darrin Foix-Jones, Michael Jones, Patricia Jones, Joshua Jones, Leah Kraft, and Lauren Kraft; and great-grandchildren: Ezra Gary, Caroline Gebhardt, and Nora Jones.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Foix; her mother and father, Lean and Colin Spencer Jr.; her brothers, Donald Spencer and Colin Spencer III; and her son-in-law, Charles Jones and Bill Jones.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
A service to honor Mary's life will be held on November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Carus United Methodist Church. Following the service, she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Anthony, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
Lord,
Thank You for the life of this faithful woman-
quiet in spirit, strong in love,
steadfast in prayer, and rich in grace.
She walked with You daily,
saw the good in others,
and served with a heart full of compassion.
May her legacy of faith and kindness
continue to shine in all who knew her.
Amen
