On July 9, 2025, Mary Giordano passed peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 89. She was a devoted wife to the late Joseph Giordano, a loving mother to Debbie (Jack), Jerry (Erika), and Laurie (Marino), a proud grandmother to Jenn (Dan), Michelle (Nick), Nicole (Tom), Graceann (Giancarlo), Victoria, and Gerard Jr. It was her great-grandchildren Annabelle, Madeline, Joseph, Thomas, Jack, and Giabella that truly brought her pure happiness and joy in the final years of her life. Mary is the oldest of seven siblings Carol, Anne, Patty, Andy, John, and Dorothy. She was a caring and loving aunt to all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Family was without a doubt Mary's most important achievement in life.
Mary was born July 8, 1936 in Queens, NY. She grew up with a close and precious bond to each of her six siblings, which she was so proud of. Mary married Joseph, her high school sweetheart, on October 22, 1955. Together they built a beautiful life raising their children in Freeport, NY. They shared many happy memories with children and grandchildren in their upstate house in Roscoe, NY.
Mary will be remembered for her strong will, big heart, and the deep love she had for her family. Each time we listen to Italian music, do a cross-word puzzle, or dance at a party, let us remember Mary and feel gratitude for the many years and memories we shared with her. She possessed enormous strength both physically and emotionally throughout her life, proving her resilience and will to live for those she loved. May she rest in peace surrounded by those who have passed before her, reunited in heaven.
