Giuliani, Mary E. (nee Hess) of Franklin, died May 1, 2025, one day shy of her 82nd birthday.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tullio, and parents, Estelle and Eugene Hess.
Beloved mother of Jeff and Sandy; cherished younger sister of Jeanne Cleppe and Madge (late Eugene) Kawczynski. Fun-loving aunt to Jody Dilworth, Wendy (late Paul) Grant, Rick (Jeannine) and Randy (Lorri) Kawczynski; Jerry (Lynn) Cleppe, Karen Woelfel, Tom (Nancy) Cleppe, and Kathy (Tony) Hanley; Maryangela (Edwin) Román, Christina (Chris) Surtz, Elise (Mike) Saur, and Mario Giuliani and many great (and great great) nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by many cousins, close friends, and special friend John Ruffing.
Mary was born in Sheboygan in 1943, graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee in 1961 and earned her degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. She taught at Sacred Heart of Jesus School, St. Francis; St. Veronica and Blessed Sacrament schools, Milwaukee, as well as St. Anne's in Warren, Michigan, and substituted in Wabasha, Minnesota.
Mary lived life to the fullest whether shopping/thrifting, bowling, boating on the Mississippi River, or enjoying a Friday fish fry. Her laughter was contagious and her magnetic personality drew people to her. Most importantly, Mary cherished time with loved ones and will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 8500 W. Cold Spring Road, Greenfield. Visitation will occur at the church beginning at 12:30 p.m. Saturday until time of service. Max A. Sass and Sons Funeral and Cremation Service is entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project, or St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Greenfield, Wisconsin.
