Our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Mary Elizabeth Gladden, passed away suddenly on November 1, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on January 29, 1965, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mary lived a life defined by love, strength, and selflessness.

Mary was the heart of her family - always putting others before herself, offering guidance and advice without hesitation, and facing life's challenges with quiet courage. She was strong, resilient, and incredibly talented. A gifted artist, Mary expressed her creativity through both her beautiful crochet work and her paintings, each piece filled with care, color, and love. She also had a deep love for her plants, tending to them with the same care and attention she gave to her family.

For more than 20 years, Mary worked at AAA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Companies, where her dedication, intelligence, and compassion touched the lives of everyone she worked with.

She is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her children, Christina (Joe) and Robert (Casey), and her adoring grandchildren, Tehya, Joey, Rebecca, Nathan, Amy, and Juliana, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her mother, Madeline, her sister Terri, her brothers Harry, Billy, Guy, and Sam, and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Mary will also be missed by her cousins and lifelong friends, who all cherished her deeply.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Harry C. Gladden, Jr., and her beloved son, Frederick (Amy), whom she missed dearly.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mary's life and the love she shared on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home, 1923 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA.
