Diana Paul – Lifelong Fairmount resident and Nana

Diana Paul passed peacefully on October 31, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Diana was born on August 8th, 1937 and lived her entire life at 2529 Meredith Street in Fairmount. She was a proud graduate of Saint Francis Xavier School and Hallahan High School (class of 1955). After Hallahan, Diana proudly worked with her sister, Eleanor, as a Secretary at the Curtis Publishing Company in Philadelphia. While raising her family, Diana returned to work at Saint Francis Xavier and spent 42 years as the Secretary. She gave her heart to St. Frannie X and loved seeing all of the children every day. Through her life in Fairmount, Diana developed lifetime friendships with wonderful friends and neighbors who deeply cared for her.

The absolute joy of Diana's life was her family. On June 3rd, 1961 she married her husband, Tom, and they raised three sons, Thomas, Stephen and Bryan. Diana and Tom were deeply devoted parents who were always there for their boys and raised them with a strong, Catholic faith. After raising her children, Diana was blessed with grandchildren. For 40 years, she enjoyed birthday parties, graduations, weddings and vacations down the shore. Diana greatly cherished her grandchildren and lovingly embraced her greatest title, Nana.

Diana was predeceased by her husband, Tom, her son, Thomas and her parents, Eleanor and Anthony Paradise. She is survived by her older sister, Eleanor. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Kathleen) and Bryan, her daughter-in-law, Donna, and her beloved grandchildren, Aimee (Roy), Alyssa, Thomas, Michael (Felicia), Mary Ellen (Nick), Stephen (Megan), Patrick (Caroline), Alexa, Julia, the McCoy family and the McCoy grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass at 10:30am on November 6th at the St. Francis Xavier Church, The Oratory, 2319 Green Street, Philadelphia PA 19130. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday morning at 8:30am-9:45am at the Dinan Funeral Home, 1923 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia PA 19130. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, Tioga and Belgrade Streets, Philadelphia.
