Mary Alice Gomez

Mary Alice Gomez peacefully passed away on November 2, 2025 at the age of 86.
Mary Alice Gomez was born Mary Alice Stanley to parents Jesse Stanley and Emma Medford on August 11, 1939, in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Northeast High School (now known as MacArthur High School) in San Antonio, Texas. She married Tomas Gomez Jr. in 1959, and they spent 49 cherished years together. They excitedly welcomed their first son, Thomas, in 1961. Following this, they moved to Los Angeles, California, where their daughter, Brenda, was born. The family then moved back to San Antonio, Texas permanently in 1964 and completed their family with the birth of their son, Homer.
Mary Alice Gomez is remembered for her kind and caring nature. She was always there to help others when they needed her the most. Her affinity to help those in need extended to her animals as well. Her family remembers the love, affection, and care she gave to her dogs and cats.
Mary Alice Gomez is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Tomas Gomez Jr.; her son, Homer Gomez; her parents, Jesse Stanley and Emma Medford; her sister, Hortence Reyes; and her brother, Richard Stanley.
Mary Alice Gomez is survived by her daughter, Brenda Gomez; her son, Thomas D. Gomez; her sisters, Betty Joyce Torres and Charlotte McClanaghan; her brothers, Jesse Stanley and Gilbert Stanley-Medford; and her grandchildren, Christopher Gomez and Cameron Gomez. She will be deeply missed by all.
