Born in Oak City, NC. She was the daughter of the late, Prime-N. Nina - Parker-Sherrod. Mary moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey at the age of sixteen when she became a faithful member of the Antioch Christian Church.
Mary was survived by daughter Jacqueline Granberry of Wilmington, De. Sisters Valene Sherrod and Dorothy Dubois of Baltimore, MD, Sister Mary Alice – Deacon Clinton Baker of Philadelphia, PA., and brother Rev. Jessie Min. Candi Sherrod of Westminster, MD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Mary was predeceased by husband Arthur Grandberry, sons Irvin and Ronald York and daughter, Delores York; brothers, Willie, Wilburt, George, Phillip Ray, Bobby Gray and Dennis Sherrod; sisters, Emma, Lena Belle, Hattie Sherrod and Irene Williams.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Antioch Christian Church, 28 Oliver Avenue, New Brunswick. Pastor Horton officiated.
