In Loving Memory of Mary Ann Gregory (née Efthim), July 17, 1937 - May 11, 2024.
Cherished mother, wife, daughter, sibling, and friend, Mary Ann Gregory, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. Mary was 86 years old. She was predeceased by her parents, Peter Efthim and Rita (Aferdita) Efthim (née Mina), her husband, Kristo Gregory, and her brother, Harry Efthim. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Gregory and her husband Angelo Cacciuto and Jennifer Gjulameti, and by cousins, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was known for her warmth, resilience, great sense of humor, and analytical mind. She will be deeply missed by all.
Mary was dedicated to art, music, family, and church. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she graduated from the Worcester public school system. Always an artist at heart, Mary attended on scholarship, studio art classes in painting and drawing at the Worcester Art Museum where she studied with the late Sante Graziani. She was a fashion model for runway, and always had a stylish and artistic sensibility. Her love of art extended to restoring Eastern Orthodox Icons and antiques. Music and the church were also a big part of her life: She and her late husband, Kristo, sang in the church choirs at Albanian Orthodox Churches in Natick and Worcester, Massachusetts.
A Wake and Funeral service to honor and remember Mary Ann Gregory will be held on Friday, May 17th, 2024: Wake at 9:30am-11:00am and Funeral service starting at 11:00am, at St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, 01609, followed by a burial at Hope Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made “In Memory of Mary Ann Gregory” to St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, or Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester, both dear to Mary's heart.
