Mary Kathryn Harris, 34, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025. Mary was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved fiercely and was protective of those most precious to her. Mary had a heart bigger than this world and often put others needs before her own. She had a special bond with her nieces and nephews. Aunt Mary went above and beyond for her babies whether it be digging in the dirt for worms or simply spending time making everlasting memories. Mary will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
She was born on January 19, 1991 in Louisville, Kentucky to Kenneth and Melissa (Haueter) Harris. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Harris, III; uncles, Anthony Haueter, Joseph Haueter; grandfather, Kenneth Harris, Sr.; and grandparents, Joseph and Judith Haueter.
Mary is survived by her loving family, mother, Melissa Harris; father, Kenneth (Katrina) Harris, Jr.; brother, Michael (Britney) Harris; nieces and nephews, Mason Harris, Parker Lightle, Kendal Harris, Chloe Harris, Cameron Harris; aunt, Tammy (Loren Blankenship) Edwards; grandmother, Pat Harris; cousins, Dallas Edwards, Taylor Haueter; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
The family requests that contributions in Mary’s memory be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association.
