Mary Ann Hernandez, a loving mother, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on February 2, 1955, in San Antonio to Oscar and Maria Estella Padilla, Mary Ann was a beacon of love and light to all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A devout Catholic, Mary Ann embraced her faith and followed the virtues taught by the church. Mary Ann's legacy lives on through her devoted children: Pedro (Christina) Hernandez III, Mary (Joe) C. Hernandez, Darlene (Jason) Cochrane, Angela (Edward) Reyes, and Michelle (Jake) Hernandez. She loved her grandchildren and cared for them with a tenderness that could soften any day, loving them with her whole heart. She leaves behind fifteen grandchildren-Chasity, Jessica, Matthew, Sarah, Jacob, Thomas, Adalina, Alexia, Ana, Elaina, Evelyn, Maliah, Athena, Jake, and Luka-as well as her two adorable great-grandchildren, Jelena and Camila.
Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Oscar and Maria Estella Padilla, and her spouse, Pedro Alfrido Hernandez. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Oscar, Mike, Teresita, Yolanda, Gilbert, and David, all of whom share in the family's profound loss and treasured memories.
Mary Ann dedicated her life to her family. In her free time, she enjoyed simple pleasures of life: assembling puzzles, watching her favorite K-Drama shows, and spending time with family. Mary Ann was known for her beautiful smile, laughter and homemade tortillas.
Mary Ann was actively involved with her grandchildren's lives and never missed an opportunity to show her support and love. She was their greatest cheerleader, and her presence was a constant comfort.
Mary Ann Hernandez will be remembered for her love, a wellspring of kindness, and the bringer of joy to all who knew her. Her laughter was unforgettable, and her love will forever be eternal. As her family and friends bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, they find solace in the many memories she leaves behind, imprinted in the hearts close to her. Mary Ann's life was a beautiful puzzle, each piece lovingly placed, creating an image of a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.
