Mary Lynn "Lynnie" Holcomb
October 25, 1943 – October 6, 2023
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Wilson's Funeral Home Chapel in El Reno, Oklahoma.
Mary Lynn "Lynnie" (Grove) Holcomb, 79, peacefully passed away at her home in El Reno, OK on October 6, 2023. Lynnie was born on October 25, 1943 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was the eldest child to James Lynn and Mary Francis (Jenkins) Grove.
She started bowling at a young age with her mom and that influence carried on into her adult life and down to her own children and some of the grandchildren. Working at PV Bowl on and off for her entire life, we are sure she could have managed the whole bowling alley single-handedly.
Growing up Lynnie was strongly influenced in creative arts and crafting. She had a mindset that allowed her to create anything she could imagine and beautiful talent to achieve these goals. She was an avid learner, continuously seeking new ways to stimulate her mind. She studied family history for quite some time and was always excited to discover a new branch or find that missing puzzle piece.
There wasn't anything she couldn't do. If you told her she couldn't do it, she would find a way to make it happen. She could crochet and sew, but also work on cars and sheet rock a house. She was delicate and beautiful, but also tough as steel. She was perfect.
Lynnie is proceeded in death by her mother Mary, her father James, her sisters Donna and Neva.
Left to cherish her memories are her beloved husband Rick Holcomb of 47 years, and their three children, James Mork and his wife Stacey; Teree Kessinger; and Danielle Small and her husband Tracy; eight grandkids and twelve great grand-children; 3 siblings Ron Grove and his wife Andra; Toodie Perry and her husband David; and Cheryl Powers; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
