Born: February 4, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas
Died: April 20, 2021 in Hayward, Wisc
Mary Frances Jakubicek, age 86 of Johnsburg, IL., was called home to God on April 20, 2021 surrounded in prayer by family. She was born on February 4, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Frank and Ann (McCarty) Kuenzinger.
She married Frank Jakubicek on September 17, 1960 at the St. Kilian Church in Chicago, IL.
She was formerly employed at Baxter Lab in Round Lake, IL. After retirement, she spent time with her family and also helping in the Catholic Church. Mary was a "prayer warrior", she instilled her love for Christ and the power of prayer into her children and grandchildren and always had her Rosary. Mary loved her entire family like Christ, her love was and still is unconditional; her smile, hugs, laughter, and "I love you more's," will be greatly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Frank on January 9, 2015, her parents, Frank and Ann (McCarty) Kuenzinger, a brother, Martin J. Kuenzinger and two sisters, Margaret Alloway and Loretta Kuenzinger (Sister Imelda of Jesus, O Carmelite).
Mary is survived by her children, Rose (Eric) Gates, Frank (Ellen) Jakubicek Jr., Teri (Mike) Radcliffe, Gail (the late Fred) Rossi. Her grandchildren, Katie (David), Claire, Olivia, Abigail (Wesley), Frank, Lisa (Cory), Rachel, Fred III (Rachel), Joe. Her great-grandchildren Mary, Elizabeth, Abraham, Joseph, Fred IV, and Frances Pia.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the Justen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miler Road, McHenry, IL from 10-11 am. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 noon at St. Peter's Church in Volo, IL. Internment will be at the Church of the Holy Apostle Cemetery where she will be laid to rest eternally.
In accordance with public gathering restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a mask and observe social distancing. The funeral home staff will monitor capacity limits and allow up to 50 people in at a time.
