Mary Remell Moose-James 65 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away in Indianapolis on September 26, 2022. Mary was born in Rockwell, North Carolina on December 24, 1956, to Ruthie Moose-Dunn. She graduated from the GED program at Walnut Elementary School in Marshall, North Carolina.
Mary worked as a janitorial supervisor, seamstress, and a preschool teacher. She enjoyed spending time with friends and honorary family at the Indianapolis Speedrome. She also loved camping and fishing in the mountains. Mary was a proud member of Mountain REACT during her time in Hot Springs, North Carolina.
Mary is survived by her sister, Pamela Joyce Goforth, three children; Audie Moose, Martina Allen, and Martin Willis, six grandchildren; Zachary Moose, Jordan Moose, Jinnifer Killmon, Derryl Allen Jr, Diandre Allen, and Jaxon Allen, five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruthie Dunn, and grandchildren Evan and Kasey Willis.
The family of Mary Remell Moose-James acknowledges with much appreciation expressions of sympathy, cards of condolences, prayers, and the love shown during this difficult time. We shall forever remember you for comforting and encouraging us during our time of bereavement and continual healing. A special acknowledgement to Indiana Funeral Care for going above and beyond.
