Patricia Ann Johnson of Carmel, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on October 1, 1942, to the late William and Ruth (Roush) Deeter, and grew up on a farm in Marion, Indiana. After graduating from Oak Hill High School in 1960, she worked at Richard Bennett Furniture, Hoosier Coal & Oil, and Sears. She married Kenneth (Ken) L. Johnson in 1973, and together they shared 41 wonderful years. Ken preceded her in death in 2014. Upon their marriage, she began assisting Ken in his store, Classic Auto Parts. They took their trailer “Patty's Showcase” on the road to various swap meets, and particularly enjoyed the AACA Swap Meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They hosted the Indy Swap Meet at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for decades, where many of the same people came back annually to work, participate, and enjoy their hobby.
Patricia enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking delicious meals for her family, doing her nails, pool days, frequent stops at Steak ‘n Shake, playing cards and Super Checkers, “Ted Ted” and “Chrissie,” and spending time with her family and friends. She was often the most fashionable woman in the room, and was fondly referred to as “Fancy Pat” from her assisted living community. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Hull, Carmel, Indiana; granddaughters Stephanie (Christopher) Guagliardo and Elizabeth (Aaron) Quinn; step -grandchildren Shannon Ladislas and Greg (Miranda) Oliver; and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steven Lee Hull; sister, Shirley Graham; and brother, Raymond Deeter.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, at Indiana Funeral Care (8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN). The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
