Mary Jane (Bieniek) Kubicki age 94 passed away April 12, 2025. She was born to Theodore and Salome (Kwiatkowski) Bieniek on July 15, 1930. She attended St Hedwig Grade School and graduated from Woodward High School in 1948. She married Norbert (Fritz) Kubicki on September 10, 1949, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, a union that lasted until his death in 1997.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Busie, sister, Cio Cia, and friend. Her wisdom, selflessness, and kindness to others was evident throughout her long life. Mary Jane retired from Toledo Public Schools' food services in 1993 after 30 years of service. She absolutely loved her job. She had a profound sense of style and in her younger years, thick wavy hair that was envious of many.
Her Polish heritage with all it has to offer, music, dance, food, and Poland itself was important to Mary Jane. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family whether it was a quick visit, sharing a meal, traveling together, or playing cards with her beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren. Mary Jane had a fondness for the lottery and casinos. As she told many, "It's my entertainment, I gave someone a job, and I supported the school systems."
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Lindsay) and Chris Kubicki; daughters, Bonnie (John) Tursich, and Sandy Woychik; grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Tursich, Jacky (Mike) Jannazo, Justin (Amanda) Kubicki, Sadie (Chris) Gill, Kim (Justin) Adams, Megan (Chris) Blessing, Dana (Anna) Woychik; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, James (Patricia) Bieniek; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Norbert; her parents, mother-in-law Helen Kubicki; brothers, Daniel, Richard, and Jerome Bieniek; Sisters, Virginia (John) Zientek, Lousie Bieniek, Florence (Joe) Krasniewski, and Rose (Louis) Kujda; dear friend, Audrey Watkins; sister-in-law, Alice (Phil) Isett; brother-in-law, Donald Kubicki; and cherished son-in-law, David Woychik.
