Mrs. Mary Cannon Kelly, daughter of the late Roosevelt, Sr. and Icelean Cannon was born on January 24, 1932, in Claussen, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Monday, March 11, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Mary attended school in the Claussen Community. She was a faithful employee of McLeod Hospital for 27 years.

Mrs. Mary was a dedicated member of Salem United Methodist Church in the Claussen Community. She served as a member of the Mass Choir, Old Adult Ministry and the United Methodist Women, until her health declined.

Mrs. Mary was married to the late Robert Kelly and three children were blessed to this union.                                                                        

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Icelean Cannon, Sr.; her husband, Robert Kelly; one brother, Roosevelt Cannon, Jr.; and four sisters, Lorriane Cannon, Shirley McCray, Joann Sutton and Kay Bertha Crawford.

Mrs. Mary leaves her memories to: one son, Eddie Lee Kelly and one daughter, Patricia Kelly both of the home; two grandchildren, Patrick Kelly of Florence, South Carolina; Patrice Kelly of Charlotte, North Carolina; two great grandchildren, Landen Kingdom of Charlotte, North Carolina and Pharrell Davis of Florence, South Carolina; one sister, Deloris Thompson of Pamplico, South Carolina; two brothers, Gilbert Cannon and Wilbert Cannon both of Florence, South Carolina; one-brother-in-law, John Sutton of Baltimore, Maryland; three sisters-in-law, Francine Kelly of Florence, South Carolina, Corrine Kelly of Washington, District of Columbia and Billie Ann Kelly of Florence, South Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
