Mary Jo C. Kerber, age 62, of Shakopee, MN, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Shakopee.
Mary Jo was born in Shakopee, on October 19, 1962, the daughter of Fred and Donna Mae (Friedges) Kerber.
Mary Jo, also known as MJ, graduated from Shakopee High School in 1981. That very same year she married Randy Tesch. Together they had two beautiful children. Mary Jo had a passion for softball, bowling, gardening and being outdoors. Above all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked at Da' Boars Bar and Grill while also dedicating over 35 years working at MTS, during which she had the opportunity to travel the world. After a year of retirement, she began working at A.C.T. She is described as beautiful, loving, thoughtful, generous, graceful, smart, funny and incredibly kind. Mary Jo will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Brandon) Van Bergen; son, Randy "RJ" Tesch (Lorena Caballero); grandchildren, Ashton, Evan and Lily Van Bergen, Payten, Emynara and Harvey Tesch; siblings, Roxanne Miles (Tim Vafias), Steve Kerber, Shelly (Jeff) Cronin, Sandra (Wade) Anderson, Patrice (Rick) McCabe, and Chris Kerber. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Donna; former husband, Randy Tesch.
Celebration of Mary Jo's Life will be held at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee: Visitation Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 4-7 PM; Visitation also Wednesday from 10-11 AM followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Reception will follow at Turtle's 1890 Social Centre, 112 Lewis Street South, Shakopee.
