Mary Catherine Kirschke, age 96, of St. Louis, MO, died at 4:03 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at De Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis.
She was born March 18, 1927 in Mobile, AL, the daughter of the late Vincent and Louise Mary (Baldo) Pocase. She married Joseph A. Kirschke in 1946. He preceded her in death May 12, 2020.
Surviving are four daughters: MaryJo Kirschke, Shirley (Russ) Howell, Jeanette (the late Stan) Estopare and Julie (Ed) Hoppe; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters: Dorothy (the late George) Lundy and Florence (the late Billy) Ward, both of Mobile, AL.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Vincent (the late Rosemary) Pocase, Helen (the late Clarence) Howell, George (the late Eunice) Pocase, Charles (the late Helen) Pocase, James (the late Fern) Pocase and William (Cinde) Pocase; and a son-in-law, Jim Jaeger.
Her ashes will be interred next to her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Monday, January 29, 2024 at 12:45 p.m.
