Mary L. (Marylee) Konitzer, age 72, longtime resident of Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, November 12, 2023 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Marylee was born in Two Rivers on April 4, 1951 to Donald and Maryann (Rosinsky) Gates. She attended Washington High School in Two Rivers and has been a lifelong area resident. Over the years, Marylee worked as a waitress at various local restaurants. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and an occasional stop at a casino.
Survivors include her children: Jamie Konitzer of Manitowoc, Melissa Genrich of Manitowoc, and Kim (Mike) Leider of Shoto; five grandchildren: Tyler Hoffman, Austin Kornely (special friend, Molly), Dalton Genrich (special friend, Kira), Logan Griesbach, and Maycie Phillips; step-grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa Leider; and her special fur baby, Bella Rose. She was preceded in death by one son, Tony Hoffman; her parents, Donald and Maryann Gates; grandparents, Harry and Orie Rosinsky; and former husband, Michael A. Konitzer.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Open Bible Baptist Church, 2021 S. 14th Street, Manitowoc. Pastor Roger Harrison will preside at the service. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery on Monday, November 20th.
Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m.
