Andrew Konitzer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 8, 2024.
Andrew J. Konitzer passed away on September 10, 2024 at the age of 67 surrounded by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents Kathleen (nee O'Neil) and Martin Konitzer, and his brother David Konitzer. He is survived by his partner in life Kate O'Keefe, his sons Gary (Karri) and Ben (Barb), and was the proud grandpa to Gavin and Chase Konitzer and Lucus Krueger. Also leaves behind his brothers Steve (Laura) and Jim (Kellee Chwala), as well as nieces, nephews and other family members.

Andy was a US Marine Corp veteran and Army National Guard reservist who proudly served his country. He was a voracious reader with a deep love of learning, talented artist whose works adorn many walls, and he was on the side of everyone who loved him. Andy retired early from a career as an industrial maintenance mechanic to fulfill his dream of living a quiet life and making art. He was a teacher, a mentor and a friend to many, and he used his great sense of humor to make everyone laugh. He was a kind, thoughtful and generous family man who will be greatly missed by those who knew him. We're on your side, Oh Great One. A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.
