Mary M. Krchmar

Mary M. Krchmar, 76, of Koppel passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Brighton Rehab & Wellness Center.
Born December 9, 1946 in Beaver Falls, she was the daughter of the late Fred D. and Violet Arvada Dixon Leksell.
Mary had graduated from culinary school and worked as a cook for many years in a number of restaurants in the area including the McDowell Hotel in Koppel. She loved cooking and especially loved to cook holiday dinners. She enjoyed making Christmas cookies and giving them to her friends and loved ones. Mary was a Presbyterian by faith. "An angel in every room" was one of her favorite sayings and everyone who knew her knew that she had never wavering faith in God and a love for angels. Mary worked hard for many years to provide and take care of her children. She loved helping people and would give anything that she could to someone in need.
Survivors include her husband Jack Krchmar Sr of Koppel; two daughters, Arvada (Jeffrey) Morrissey of Missouri and Jodi (Tom) Bobin of Koppel; two sons, Jason of Pittsburgh and Justin (Amber) Gasper of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, John (Samantha), Alexandros, and Zachary Vassilaros, Angelyka (Steven) Hunter, Theo Gasper, and Lily and Miles Basalik; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Harlow Hunter and Lilah and John Vassilaros; and sister-in-law, Shanna Leksell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Fred and Donald J. Leksell.
Per her wishes there will be no services.
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
