Mary Leonard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tyngsborough Funeral Home on Mar. 3, 2026.
Mary J. (Livingston) Leonard, age 75, a resident of North Chelmsford, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Stanley "Roscoe" Leonard, with whom she shared 25 years of marriage before his passing in 2025.

She was born in Lowell on May 22, 1950, was a daughter of the late John R. and Dorothy (McQuesten) Livingston, and was educated in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Mary was a devoted employee of the American Legion Post 313 in North Chelmsford, for over 30 years. The Legion was her second home and she considered the members and patrons a part of her family. She always looked forward to going to work and seeing everyone.

Mary was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and hardly ever missed watching a game. She also enjoyed tips to Las Vegas and Foxwoods and most recently the Nash Casino.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Farmer and her fiancé Keith Sanborn; two grandchildren, Kimberly Farmer and Andrew Hennessey; her siblings, Christine Grace and her husband Kenneth, William Livingston and Joyce Ferreira and her husband Joe; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by two children, Lisa Farmer and Michael Farmer and her siblings Patricia Hodges, John Livingston, Debbie Davis, James Livingston and Joanne Baldwin.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tyngsborough Funeral Home, 4 Cassaway Dr., Tyngsborough. A prayer service will conclude the visitations at 3 p.m. A reception will then take place at the American Legion Post 313. Burial will be private in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in her memory to the American Legion Post 313, 90 Groton, Rd., N. Chelmsford, MA 01863.
