Mary took great pride in her role as a dietary aide at the Salem VA Medical Center. She found joy in helping others, and her dedication and compassion were evident in all her actions, positively influencing the lives of those she cared for. In her free time, she loved adult coloring books, baking cakes, and cherishing moments with her family. Renowned for her pound cake (Nanny Cake), she was truly an exceptional baker.
She was a proud mother to Mark Tasciotti (Deana) of Mechanicsville, MD, and Kathy Ranson (Chet) of Meherrin, VA. She also was stepmother to Bonnie Rhodes, Jeff Lloyd (Tiffany), and Kathy Chattin (GT).
About three years ago, Mary first met her fiancé, Robert Laws, Sr. The couple fell in love and cherished the moments they shared together. Although short in time, it was long with love.
Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Earl Lloyd, her parents, and her brother Harry Feller (Mary). She is survived by her children and stepchildren, She is also survived by grandchildren Michael Abernathy (Ashley), Myranda Barry (Scott), Alexander Tasciotti (Kasey) and Kaitlynn Daras. Step-grandchildren Melinda Rhodes, Samantha Rhodes, Jennifer Brackett, Heather Keith (Joseph), Nathan Williamson, and Tristan Rubendall. Her fiancé's children, Robert Laws, Jr., David Laws, and Johnnie Laws, Sr., as well as his grandson Johnnie Laws, Jr.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the family will receive friends for the visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with prayers at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Charlie Wharton at Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Thursday evening repast will be held at the; Mechanicsville Moose Lodge - Back Hall, 27636 Mechanicsville Road, Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Graceland Baptist Church, 975 Dorset Road, Powhatan, VA 23139.
