Mary Lou Bell

Mary Lou Bell, 92, of Avon, passed away on June 16, 2024.  She was born on October 29, 1931 in Center Point, IN to the late Marion and Maxine Woods.  Mary Lou worked as a sales representative for Animal Health Store and Animal Medic retiring 1977.  She belonged to the First Baptist Church in Plainfield where she enjoyed singing in the choir.  Mary Lou had a passion for taking care of her horses and riding them in her earlier years.  She liked cooking for her family and friends.  Mary Lou loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Darrell Bell; son, Douglas Bell; brothers, Edward, John and Jim Woods; sister, Ruth Ann DeCamp.  Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 1:00 pm in First Baptist Church (1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN 46168) where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Steve) Strawmyer and Pamela Darnell; sisters, Betty Thomas and Suellen Woods; grandchildren, Kimberly Galloway, Sean Strawmyer, Forrest Darnell and Audrey (Nick) Caldwell; great grandchildren, Chase Galloway, Paige Galloway, Isaac Galloway, Dean Caldwell and Imogen Caldwell.
