Mary Louise Citron, 86, Jefferson City, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born December 19, 1938, in Clay County, Missouri, and raised in North Kansas City.



Mary dedicated many years of her career as a bookkeeper for Central Bank and later for Hawthorn Bank in Jefferson City. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and kindness were appreciated by her coworkers and the many customers she helped over the years.



Outside of work, Mary found joy in spending time with friends and family. Mary was an avid Chiefs fan. She especially loved attending dances at Windstone Entertainment, where she could visit, laugh, and share stories with those she cherished



She is survived by daughters: Kim (Mark) Prenger, Michelle (Vince) Branaman; son: Terry Citron; grandchildren: Trenton Prenger, Brandon Prenger, Amy Prenger, Tyler Swehla, Bryant Swehla, Taylor Paige Swehla, Luke Citron, Logan Citron; and three great-grandchildren.



Mary was preceded in death by her Mother: Effie (McFall) Reynolds; Father: Afton Reynolds; brother: William Reynolds; sister: Marilyn Reynolds; and her beloved husband, Howard Citron.



A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at Summit Memorial Park Cemetery; 10920 Old U.S. Highway 54, Holts Summit, Missouri.



Family and Friends are invited to the Chapel Hill Community Room following the service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 3521 Chapel Hill Rd. Jefferson City.
