Mary Ann was born in Lowville on November 9, 1957, a daughter of the late William Joseph Campeau; Eleanor "Marie" Davoy Campeau. She attended Father Leo Memorial School in Croghan and graduated from Beaver River Central School in 1976. On September 18, 1976, Mary Ann married her high school sweetheart, Kim Lyndaker, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Croghan with Rev. Luke O'Connell OFM officiating. Shortly after, the couple moved out west to where Kim was working construction. They lived in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Arkansas, and Kentucky, before moving home to Belfort and building their cabin in the woods in 1987. In 2015 they moved to their current home on Route 126. Mary Ann was a teacher's aide at Beaver River Central School for 20 years, retiring at 55 to spoil her grandchildren.
She was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church, Croghan.
Mary Ann had the gift to gab and enjoyed shopping and visiting people at Price Chopper. She also enjoyed Sunday drives with her husband, cooking, watching her grandchildren play sports, spending time with her mom while taking care of her, and lunch dates with Lorri and Robin. Most of all, Mary Ann loved spending time with her family.
Mary Ann's family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Rahul Seth and his entire team at the Upstate Cancer Center.
Dr. Seth had a plan to keep mom "living life" for as long as possible and she lived with her whole heart for 10 years with cancer.
