Mary Ann Maher

Mary Ann Maher, age 75, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, at her home in Indian

Trail, NC.

She was born on September 26, 1949, in Jamaica, NY, to the late Edmund and Bette Steen Keller. Mary Ann was a graduate of Dominican Commercial High School and Nassau Community College. She was married to the love of her life, John Maher, for 56 years. Together, they made their home in Queens, NY, and later in Levittown, NY, before settling in North Carolina.

Mary Ann worked in various positions over the years, but found great joy in retirement. She cherished time spent with her family, especially visiting with her grandchildren. She also loved reading, writing and sending thoughtful greeting cards to family and friends, and gathering with loved ones. Mary Ann was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC.

She is survived by her devoted husband, John; her children, Jennifer (Walt), Courtney, and Richard (Heather); her beloved grandchildren, Cailen and Aiden; and her two grand-puppies, Buddy and Rocky.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army or Samaritan's Purse in her memory.
