Mary Ann McTyre, age 87 of Rockmart passed away June 16, 2024.
Mary Ann was born and raised in Powder Springs and was the oldest of four children. She lived in Cobb County most of her life and was recently a resident of both Rockmart and Cedartown.
Mary Ann was a devoted Christian and was an active member of Doss Memorial Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending.
Mary Ann was an avid reader and gardener. She took pride in the numerous flowers she cultivated and grew in her yard.
Mary Ann's greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Annie Lee Thomason; husband, Robert "Chandler" McTyre; children, Bonnie, Ricky, and Tonny McTyre.
Mary Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doyle and Emily McTyre; daughter, Pattie Floyd; daughter, Samantha McTyre; grandchildren, Jeremy, Matt, Natasha, Alex and wife Brittany, Courteney and husband Michael, and Anthony; 12 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sister, Jerrie Pittman; brother, Mel Thomason and wife, Debra; sister, Brenda Franco; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday 1:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday from 11:00AM -1:00 PM prior to the service.
