Mary Lee Moore, 90, of Deer Park, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 23, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family. Born on February 24, 1934, in Deer Park, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Campbell) Rodeheaver.
After graduating from high school and earning her bachelor's degree, she taught for a brief period of time before she met the love of her life, J. Samuel Moore, to whom she was married on August 12, 1967. She then started her life as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church. She served her Lord along the side of her husband, accompanying him as an organist and pianist through the numerous churches he pastored. She loved serving God through her musical talent and assisting as a choir director when needed.
In addition to her husband, Sam, she is survived by two children, Beth Mankin of Deer Park and John Moore of Kentucky; one granddaughter, Casey Mankin of Morgantown; and a sister, Nadara Welling and husband Ron of Kentucky.
Friends will be received on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Deer Park United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM in the church with Pastors Barbara Rexrode, Jeff Kroll, and Rick Egvet officiating. Interment will follow in the Deer Park Cemetery.
