MOORE - Mary Elizabeth, May 30, 1930 - June 20, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Bob for 61 years. Adored mother of Robert Jr. (Jani), Barbara (Robert), and Tricia (J.D.). Predeceased by her daughter Peggi Anne and sister Ann. Cherished grandmother of Brian, Dyan, Kayla, Bobby, and Nicole; and great grandmother of Ryan. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in the Bronx and grew up alongside Bob. They married in 1953 and after several moves settled in Port Jefferson in 1962 to raise their four children. She remained a resident for over 60 years. Mary graduated from The Academy of Mount St. Ursala followed by Good Counsel College. Throughout her life, Mary was a dedicated member of her community. She volunteered for many organizations, including John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, March of Dimes and the American Heart Association. Alongside Bob, Mary was an intricate part of the Infant Jesus Parish, where she dedicated herself to numerous fundraising initiatives while serving in various capacities. She enjoyed working at the Port Jefferson library and the Suffolk County Board of Elections. Mary will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
