Mary "Carleen" Thompson Morris went to her heavenly home on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Autumn Care Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Biscoe, NC.
Carleen was born in Montgomery County, NC on October 16, 1927 to the late Anthony Thompson and the late Maggie Hamilton Thompson. Carleen was a graduate of Troy High School. She worked as an inspector at Troy Drapery for many years . Carleen was a hard worker, she enjoyed working in her garden and canning her own vegetables. She loved her grandchildren and her dog Daisy. Carleen was a lifelong member of Love Joy UMC and was loved by all that knew her.
Carleen is survived by her children: Joann M. Brock (Phillip) of Troy, Lisa M. Smith (Michael) of Troy, James Morris of Troy, and Mike Thompson (Kay) of Falling Waters, W. VA; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Morris, three brothers and one sister.
The family will received friends Tuesday evening, June 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pugh Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC 27371. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Love Joy United Methodist Church, 1127 Substation Rd., Troy, NC 27371 with Rev. Justin Wells and Rev. Ron Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Love Joy UMC Cemetery.
