Mary L. Morris

On Sunday, August 17, 2025, age 92, of West View, PA, passed away peacefully. She was the daughter of the late Edith Hazlett (Saunders) and John Hazlett. The beloved wife of the late William Morris, beloved mother of three sons, Michael Septak (Beth), Robert Septak (Gina), and Charles Mondave (Roberta) and step-daughter, Jenny Larkovic. Grandmother to Michelle Septak (Jake), Robert "Bobby" Septak (Alyssa), Mikey Septak (Alexis), Kara Septak (Jeff), Adam Logan (Danielle), Alexa Colosimo (Ben), and Marissa Mondave. Great-grandmother to Chloe, Brooks, Isabella, Dominic, Sophia, and Cabela. Aunt to Elizabeth (Patryc) Mills and great-aunt to Hazel and Amelia. She is also survived by her brother, Edward (Iva) Hazlett.

Mary was a member of West View United Methodist Church where she devoted countless hours helping with the altar every week for years. She worked for AT&T for 25 years as an international operator. She was the happiest when her three sons were gathered around her dining room table reminiscing and telling funny stories about each other and when her grandchildren were sharing their stories and reminding her of all the rules she taught them about etiquette. Mary adored her family and was always there to help. She had a great sense of humor and kept everyone laughing with her hilarious stories. She was a great cook and baker and loved to share her recipes. And we can't forget that her house had to be spotless at all times, including the baseboards, with no crumbs on the counters or floors because God forbid an ant got in her house.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Devlin Funeral Home 806 Perry Hwy. Pittsburgh, PA 15229. Funeral service at 5 pm at Devlin Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mary's memory to one of her favorite organizations: ASPCS, Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors, or the West View Fire Department.
