Mary Elizabeth Mueller (nee Blechle), passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024 at the age of 54. She was the beloved wife of Jerome Mueller; Daughter in law of Virginia Mueller, Sister to Dan (Paula) Blechle, Debbie (Herb, deceased) Wilke, Jeff (Laura) Blechle; Sister in law to Steve (Virginia) Mueller, Steph (Ed) Griesenauer, Karen (Henry) Hoff, Dan (Marybeth) Mueller, Greg (Karen) Mueller, Trish (Mike) Turner, Marilyn (Ted) Wilmes, Terry (Krista) Mueller. Cherished mother of Kyle (Abby), Taylor, Nathan, and Mitchell. Mary was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her loving parents Don and Betty Blechle, and father in law Jerry Mueller.
Mary was born at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles on November 12th, 1969. She grew up in O’Fallon, MO and graduated from Assumption grade school in 1984. Mary went on to St. Dominic High School, where she made many cherished memories. She worked at Over the Rainbow, Darato’s restaurant, and Limited Express clothing store. She was a cheerleader and met many lifelong friends, including her now husband Jerome. Mary graduated high school in 1988, and went on to work at Contel/GTE for 11 years. Mary and Jerome were married at St Barnabas Catholic Church on October 12th, 1991. They had four children; Kyle, Taylor, Nathan, and Mitchell. Mary’s dream in life was to be a mom, and she excelled at that. She loved her children kindly and deeply.
Mary’s smile and laugh were contagious. She enjoyed trips to the beach, reading, shopping, cooking, the Cardinals, hydrangeas, and quality time with her family. Mary was a faith filled parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church, where she was a member of Ladies Sodality.
Mary’s great joy in life was her career at Barfield/Wentzville Early Childhood Center. She worked there for the last 18 years as an Instructional Assistant for 3 and 4 year olds including caring for special needs children. Mary loved her time there, making memories and sharing many laughs with her coworkers. She cared for the students like they were her own, loving on them daily. Miss Mary was much loved by her Barfield family and will be greatly missed.
Mary was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to St. Dominic High School and/or the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis.
