Mary Muscat, 103, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Voorhees, NJ. Born on October 2, 1922, in Simpson, PA, Mary's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and faith.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, George F. Muscat, Mary's legacy continues through her devoted sons, George M. Muscat (Melinda), and Matthew Muscat. She was a proud grandmother to Kristen Simon (Andrew), and Katelyn Muscat, and a doting great-grandmother to Chandler and Kendall Simon. Her extended family of nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart.
Prior to motherhood, Mary worked as an executive secretary for 17 years, with the McCord Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. Later on, Mary worked as a school aide at Cherry Hill East High School, for 14 years, where she touched the lives of many students and staff with her warmth and meticulous nature. She was an active parishioner of Christ Our Light Church in Cherry Hill. Mary was involved in the church's Helping Hands and the Senior Club.
Family and friends were Mary's greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She maintained an active lifestyle, ensuring she was always a part of her loved ones' lives. Her passion for travel allowed her to explore new places and create lasting memories with those she held dear.
Mary's love for her Ukrainian heritage was a vibrant thread woven throughout her life. She enthusiastically shared her culture with her children, grandchildren, and friends, enriching their lives with traditions and stories.
Described by all who knew her as loving and kind, Mary's influence extended beyond her immediate circle. Her ability to follow procedure and her exceptional organizational skills were hallmarks of her character, making her a trusted and reliable figure in every endeavor she undertook.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Christ Our Light Church 402 Kings Hwy N, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am, at the church. Burial will follow at Colestown Cemetery in Cherry Hill.

Yesterday

Aunt Mary was a very special person--kind, friendly and interesting. She would refresh my memories of the past, that otherwise, I might have forgotten and graciously shared recipes with a smile.
She may be: Gone from our sight, but never our memories. Gone from our touch, but never our hearts. Mary Muscat was a true blessing to family and friends. Love !
