Mrs. Mary Nixon, age 81 of Boaz, Alabama, died on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Marshall Medical Center North.
Funeral service will be held at Two o’clock pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nixon was born in Mississippi on April 12, 1943, to Thomas Jefferson & Lucy Elizabeth Wells Alexander. Her and her husband owned Nixon Auto Junk yard for many years.
Mrs. Nixon is survived by her Daughters & Son-in-Law: Patricia Humphries, Victoria & Stanley Cagle, both of Boaz. Grandchildren: Christopher Bonds, Amanda Battles, George Bonds, Jessica Cagle, Brianna Cagle, Shannon Nixon, Rachel Lambert, Kizzy Peppers, Rhiannon Bloodworth, Frederick Bloodworth. A host of Great Grandchildren. Sister: Joyce Buchanan of Pennsylvania. Brothers: J.T. Alexander of Toney, Kenneth Alexander of Woodville, Jimmy Alexander of Hanceville, Earnest Alexander of Boaz.
Mrs. Nixon was preceded in death by her Parents: Thomas Jefferson & Lucy Elizabeth Alexander. Husband: Glendell Nixon. Sons: Rickey Nixon, James Nixon, Randall Nixon. Sisters: Sally Simpson, Francis Estes. Brothers: Billy Alexander, William Leroy Alexander.
