Mary E. “Libby” Page, Age 82, of Cedar Street, Southport, NY passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Libby was born February 19, 1943 in Rockville Centre, NY daughter of the late John W. and Marie (Mullen) Stephens, Sr.

Libby was retired from the Chemung County Nursing Facility after 26 plus years of dedicated service as a registered nurse. She was a great animal lover and was a huge Elvis Fan. Her passion in life was nursing, reading, drawing, sudoku, word puzzles, dogs, horses and rummage sales. Libby also enjoyed relaxing on the patio with a good cup of coffee. She was a supporter of the Southern Tier Food Bank and the local SPCA. She loved and lived life to the fullest.

Survivors include her son John A. Lifrieri of Elmira, sisters; Jacqueline Stephens SSJ, of Rochester, NY, Jane Stephens of Elmira, NY, Nancy and Charles Dunham of East Smithfield, PA, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, first husband; Richard “Dick” Lifrieri, second husband; Tom Page and brothers; John Stephens, Jr, Michael Stephens and Mark Stephens.

It was Libby’s wishes that services be private and that she be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, New York 14904.

Donations in Libby’s memory may be made to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 388 Upper Oakwood Avenue, Elmira, NY 14903 or to the Elmira Animal Shelter, 842 Linden Place, Elmira, NY 14901.
