Mary Joyce Pharr, whose warmth touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away on July 19, 2024, in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on October 15, 1933, in Blessing, Texas.
Joyce dedicated years of her life to the University Baptist Church, where she was a nursery worker and dedicated member. She also obtained her G.E.D to set an example for her daughters who got theirs soon after. Joyce poured her heart into everything she did. Known for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Joyce had a creative side as well. Her hobbies included being a talented maker of baby quilts and having the ability to craft almost anything with her skilled hands.
Described as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Joyce’s personality radiated kindness to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her family meant the world to her, especially her husband Neiland Pharr, whom she shared many beautiful moments with. She is survived by her children Russell Pharr, Karland Pharr, and Cecilia Pharr. Joyce also leaves behind her brother John Armstrong. From her children, Joyce also became a loving grandmother and great-grand mother.
Joyce is reunited in peace with her husband Neiland Pharr, her daughters, Glenda Arrington, Tommie Langley, sisters Jean Willard and Norma Zissa, and brother Charley Armstrong, along with her parents Doyle and Mary Armstrong.
A visitation to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on July 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville. This will be followed by a Funeral Service from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Mary Joyce Pharr's presence will be deeply missed but her spirit lives on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished by many.
