Mary Helen Quintero

Mary Helen Quintero, 50, of Gonzales, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was born in Gonzales, on April 01, 1975, to Robert Quintero and Nancy Chavarria.

Mary treasured her role as "Mimi" to her grandchildren, she enjoyed every opportunity she got to spend with them. She created countless experiences with her children, spending quality time with them and taking many favored trips to the beach . Moments created with her family, where laughter and love were shared, were some of the happiest times of her life. She also cherished the companionship of her sweet little dog Gizmo. Mary also delighted in shopping at the many local boutiques here in Gonzales, she loved looking for special treasures and embraced the simple pleasures of life.

Mary is survived by her sons Tyler Dane Nowotny (Jessica), Dalton Alan Nowotny (Breanne) and Ryan Cole Nowotny; her life partner Alan Dean Nowotny; her parents Nancy and Silverio Rocha; grandchildren Jayden Dane Nowotny, Karsyn Rose Nowotny, Kase Alan Nowotny and Preston Wade Nowotny; her brother Jeremy Rocha (Candice) and sister Jessica Corona (Robert). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Jessalyn Renee Nowotny, grandson Hudson Scott Nowotny, brother Joseph Andrew Quintero and grandparents Thomas and Irene Chavarria.

Services for Mary will take place on Monday, March 02, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church. A visitation from 9:00am – 9:30am, with a rosary being recited at 9:30am, with a mass of the resurrection following at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Hermann Sons Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas. Pallbearers will include Robert Corona, Kaleb Corona, Aaron Rocha, Aydrean Rocha, Jesus Valle and Bradley McFadin. Honorary Pallbearers will include Dustin Valle and Benny Leal.
