Life began for Mary E. Reid on August 13, 1948, in Bartow, Florida. She was born to the union of the late Willie Lenon and Sarah (Dorsey) Lenon. She was the third of three children. She retired from Harrisburg School District as a crossing guard after, many years.
In her leisure Mary enjoyed listening to music, shopping, and her all-time favorite was watching tv the series In the Heat of the Night and Walker Texas Ranger as well as wrestling. She also enjoyed playing cards and talking on the phone with her friends Ms. Wanda, Ms. Pat, Ms. Dolly-Mae and Mr. Larry.
On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in Harrisburg, PA, she entered eternal life and gained her wings.
In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded by her beloved sisters, Mrs. Dale Washington, and Mrs. Sara Benjamin.
Mary s life and legacy will be cherished by her children, Helen D. Bridges (Tommy Bridges), April Cooper (Homer Wilson), Michael T. Walker, five grandchildren; Tommy bridges Jr., Shatyrra Reid, Markita Kennedy, Chanaya Bridges, Lashonda Bowers, all of Harrisburg, PA, and Sharita Bowers of Jacksonville, Fl, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
